I came to New York to study website design. Before coming to the United States, I was a music composer in Japan working for one of the most famous music labels called POL.
Several years later, I decided to go to LaGuardia Community College to major in multi-media technologies and learn more about web-development. Coming to New York gave me a chance to expose myself to new and fascinating technological applications that sparked my interest in pursuing website design. I plan on utilizing all the knowledge I have been acquiring to operating my own website where I can host my music. From LaGuardia Community College, I continued my studies at New York City College of Technology to introduce more advanced learning to my brain and to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in website development.
I have adjusted to the expectations of the senior college and I welcome the new learning opportunities offered to me. Above all, I enjoyed the 3D and Typography courses that I took in the Fall I 2007 semester. Through these two courses I was able to learn and comprehend Quark Xpress, Autodesk Maya and Adobe In-Design better.
The ultimate goal I plan to achieve is to become a successful web designer who has very strong skills in programming. According to my job research, I need to acquire my Java script, Action script and Database skills.
Due to my determination and relentless efforts to improve my learning skills, I am confident that I can perform all tasks effectively. I believe that I have the talent and the necessary skills to be a successful web designer. What distinguishes me from others is my strong commitment to my goals and the high expectations an employer would have of me. I have always been motivated to do hard work and I can keep my motivation alive through my commitment to delivering excellent work.
